Trailers

CD Projekt Red has provided us with two new Cyberpunk 2077 trailers in the latest night wire stream on August 10. The first one shows the game-play as we are introduced to three different lifepaths. Features

Multiplayer game

Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer feature was one of those rumors based on grant applications with the Polish government and a few developer comments. Finally, this idea has been declared to be “confirmed but not scheduled” as CD Projekt Red says it plans to add “some multiplayer action”. But this will probably happen after it puts out some free DLC and other single-player content.

Later, it confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer was going to be a huge addition to the game.

Similarity to Witcher 3

Before multiplayer comes around, what you can expect is Cyberpunk 2077’s DLC model taking a similar path as The Witcher 3. Which means there will be a good amount of free updates that will get added onto the game. Moreover, in the following weeks or perhaps months after it’s arrival, you can also expect bigger (likely paid) expansions to the game. This will be with the intention of expanding Cyberpunk 2077’s world and steering V’s story in new directions.

First person perspective

According to Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay in August 2019, or even to the extensive preview CD Projekt Red first showed off at E3 2018 we might most probably be expecting a first perspective game-play.  A first-person perspective game-play will make the players feel more connected to the character as well as working well with the game’s penchant for fast-paced gunplay.

Three distinctive lifepaths

Players will be given a choice to choose from Street Kid, Nomad, and Corpo. Each of these characters is showcased with certain pros and cons. Moreover, you’ll experience a completely different storyline, dialogue options, and opportunities based on what your choice is.

Street Kids are the ones that are born within Night City. This will make you savvier in certain situations than their counterparts who didn’t have that privilege. Nomads on the other hand belong to the badlands beyond the city borders. In contrast, if you choose Corpo, you’ll live a life as a member of the Arasaka Corporation. You’ll have the brains to climb high in the Mega-corporations. But it is up to you if you can make it through the streets.

Character Customisation

From the beginning of the game itself, you’ll be able to create your own character. Apart from customizing V’s face, body, and outfits, you can even make various choices withing the storyline that will completely change the course of further incidents. Your character’s gender presentation and background are also bound to influence the plot.

Although there are no pre-defined classes, you will be able to allocate your skills and abilities as you per your choice. Apart from that you also have the freedom to refine and customize your character in the game. This can be done by installing Cyberware to do all kinds of things. A few examples include augmentations that boost your reflexes or give you better tactical awareness in combat.

Vast range of weapons

You’ll be provided a plenty of weapon options to choose from depending upon your playstyle. If you are a fan of Melee and Cyberware you have everything from Thermal Katanas to Mantis Blades. But if you are more into guns and firepower, the Night City will also give you a plenty of them.

The weapons in Cyberware 2077 are divided into three categories namely: Tech, Power, and Smart weapons. Tech weapons are more for power, while power weapons allow you to hit even an impossible target. Smart weapons can hit someone even in motion.

All these weapons are customizable. You can add scopes or silencers or add mods to alter things like fire rate or accuracy. There are a few rarities too. And if you manage to lay your hands on them, there’s a plus point to you.

Nvidia GeForce Now support

Nvidia has announced that it will support Cyberpunk 2077 on its GeForce Now streaming platform. This is good news for those who don’t have a brand new expensive gaming PC. You can now even enjoy the game’s promised ray-traced visuals as it will be playable with RTX On. Although you’ll have to buy Cyberpunk 2077 on Steam before playing it on GeForce Now.

Minimum System Requirements

Turns out that you don’t require much PC specs for the game to run. Take a look at the minimum requirements below:

  • CPU: Intel Core i7 8700K at 3.70GHz
  • Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix Z370-I Gaming
  • RAM: 32GB of G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4 RAM with a speed of 3,000MHz

Updates

September 18th third episode

The upcoming presentation for Cyberpunk 2077 on Friday will no longer feature a look into the creation of the Cyberpunk 2077 music score. Instead, as the official Twitter account has revealed that there will be some news regarding what fans have been craving for a long time now.

Fake beta invites

CD Projekt Red has asked its fans to watch out for fake beta invites being sent to players. Most of them have reportedly received emails regarding such invites. The developers have warned them from handing over any sensitive information.

No release on Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass

Although you will find the game on various platforms after it’s release in November 2020, there’s a catch. It won’t be available on Microsoft’s subscription service Xbox Game Pass. CD Projekt Red’s Lead PR Manager, Radek Grabowski, on Twitter said in an answer to VentureBeat journalist Jeff Grubb used Cyberpunk 2077 as an example of the kind of blockbuster third-party release that Microsoft might look to have on Game Pass, “You’ll have to pick another example, Jeff. No Game Pass plans for Cyberpunk 2077”.

Movie/ Anime adaptations

Cyberpunk anime is set to release on Netflix in 2022. The title Cyberpunk: Edgerunner will be a 10 episode story of a kid living in Night City. The boy becomes an edge runner and later comes to be known as Cyberpunk.

In an interview with VGC at E3 2019, Pondsmith also admitted the prospect Keanu Reeves’ involvement in the game of becoming into a possibility of a Cyberpunk movie adaption.

“I can’t really say anything on that. But with Keanu Reeves being tied up in things, it’s become much more of a possibility. At this point we are teaching people about this new kind of cyberpunk. My favorite film is Blade Runner, but I recognise inherently that it’s a cerebral film and 2049 was even more cerebral. A cerebral film is not necessarily going to allow other people to enter that space and understand it, but at the same time you don’t want to do it totally action.”
