The blanket had a small flower, a couple of stars in a corner, and ‘Baby Bloom’ embroidered on to it. It also included a note addressed to “Katy and Orlando (and little one)”. The handwritten note dated May 3, 2020, says “sent with love from the desk of Taylor Swift”. This might mean that the gift was sent to Perry one month after the couple announced that they were having a baby daughter. Katy had posted a photo of her husband, Orlando on social media with pink cream smeared on his face, telling the world that they were expecting a baby girl.
The wrinkles on the blanket are a clear sign that Taylor Swift crafted it with her own two hands. In the note, she goes on to explain how she was obsessed with a “tiny silk soother” in her childhood. She left a message for Daisy saying, “Aunty Taylor loves a homemade gift”.
Her post on Instagram about the ‘ Cardigan’ singer said, “Miss [daisy emoji, dove emoji] adores her hand embroidered blankie from miss @taylorswift. Hope it’s one she drags around for years till it becomes an unrecognizable shred that she keeps in her pocket as a teenager”. As a sweet gesture, the ‘smile’ songstress also tagged Taylor’s upcoming eighth studio album ‘Stream Folklore’ as her location. Hence, she urged her fans to buy Taylor’s latest record, recorded in lockdown.
Perry and Orlando announced the birth of their daughter last month on August 26, 2020.
They made the announcement via Unicef. The couple serve as goodwill ambassadors for it. They revealed that mom and baby both are “safe and healthy” from the “peaceful” birth.
It has been over two years since the two pop icons, Taylor Swift and Katy Perry called a truce. As many of you might recall the ongoing feud between Swift, 30 and Perry, 35 over backup dancers. Although in May 2018, Katy literally offered an olive branch to Taylor Swift ahead of her Reputation Tour. This put an end to any drama between the stars. They were also spotted bonding over cookies which they baked together, in a recent Instagram post. Moreover, the plate of cookies had ‘Peace’ written in frosting.
Upon enquiring about the feud and their current relationship status, the Grammy award winner told Capital Breakfast on June 2019 that:
“She and I have really been on good terms for a while. She sent me a really nice note and an olive branch to the – like an actual olive branch – to my tour when it started, the Reputation Stadium Tour, a while ago. From that point on, we’ve been on good terms. Then we saw each other at a party and walked up to each other and hugged it out and talked about things, and then we saw each other again and hung out at another party and it was just like something felt so much lighter about my life when things became really good between us.
And, you know, she and I have been fine for a while and really on good terms but we didn’t know if we were ever gonna really tell people about it. We wanted to make sure that was solid between us before we ever made the public aware.”
