M.A.C. declares Spanish singer and songwriter and six times Grammy award winner Rosalia as its brand ambassador on its 26th anniversary. She teamed up with the makeup brand to create a new lip color as she follows in the big footsteps of Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Eve, Mary J. Blige and Miley Cyrus—just to name a few. This year’s VIVA Glam lipstick shade, called VG26, is a fiery orange-red. Her flamenco, pop-urban and electronic fusions, in combination with her unique, passionate and fierce personality, inspired the newest lip color in the M.A.C. family coined VG26. There are four lipstick shades launching with the collection, including the Viva Glam I (a matte brownish blue-red), Viva Glam II (a subdued beige-mauve) and Viva Glam III (a matte brownish plum). These lipsticks by Rosalia under MAC cosmetics will be available at a retail price of $19 at all M.A.C stores as well as online.
Rosalia took to her Instagram handle to share the news about her lipsticks being produced by MAC cosmetics, “This campaign has inspired me since I was a young girl because 100% of the lipstick selling price goes towards local organizations to help those living with or affected by HIV/AIDS, supporting women and girls and helping the LGBTQIA+ community.”
Rosalía raved about the new lipstick color as a time-saver for her morning beauty routine and an ideal match for her skin tone. ‘Ruby Woo’ is one of my favorites so combine that with my VG26 shade and it matches perfectly with the tone of my skin and is a perfect combination! If I have time, I also fill in my brows,” Rosalía said in an exclusive statement to “Good Morning America.”
“It’s an honor to be the face of VIVA GLAM 26 and to champion a cause that is inclusive, supports individuality and gives back 100%,” says Rosalía when asked about becoming our newest M∙A∙Ctivist.
“Makeup is a way that I can communicate with myself and my fans,” Rosalía said in a statement exclusively provided to WWD. “I love experimenting with colors, textures and the same way I love playing with anything else because it’s visual.”
