Kanye Omari West was born in Atlanta and raised in Chicago. This American rapper was a producer for Roc-A-Fella Records in the early 2000s. He has produced singles for several mainstream artists.

Kanye had an affinity towards art since the age of five. He began writing poetry at the young age of five. Kanye started rapping in third grade and started making musical appearances in the seventh grade. He learned how to sample and program beats at the age of 15 from his mentor and friend, No I.D. Kanye dropped out of college at the age of 20 to pursue his musical dreams.


In the early 2000s, Kanye used to be a producer for Roc-A-Fella Records. But he intended on pursuing a solo career as a rapper. He released his debut album The College Dropout in the year 2004. the album received critical and commercial success. Kanye then founded the record label, Good Music.

Similarly, he drew inspiration from minimalism and released his sixth studio album Yeezus in the year 2013. They were both critical successes.

Kanye West went on to release The Life of Pablo in 2016, Ye in 2018 and Jesus is King in the year 2019. He collaborated with Jay-Z for his discography Watch The Throne in 2011. Kanye then went on to collaborate with Kid Cudi in 2018 for Kids See Ghost. All of this has contributed to his extremely high net worth in 2020.

Kanye West had an on-again-off-again relationship with Alexis Phifer. They got engaged in 2006 but ended their engagement in 2008. He then dated Amber Rose from 2008 to 2010. Kanye started dating long time friend Kim Kardashian in 2012 and in 2013 they were engaged. The pair got married in Italy in 2014. The couple has four children together. Their relationship has become subject to widespread media coverage due to the couple’s high profile status and their respective successful careers.

Kanye lost his mother, Donda West in 2007. She was 58. Her death was due to coronary artery disease and multiple post-operative factors like liposuction and mammoplasty. California governor signed the Donda West Law which makes it mandatory for the patients to receive medical clearance before undergoing cosmetic surgery.
