Jurassic Park almost ended up as a franchise, left to the world in perpetual nostalgia, held back only for Halloween costumes or flashback lists.

It would be a whole 12 years before the first delayed sequel – Jurassic World  3 – began development. Jurassic Park‘s director Steven Spielberg had tried many times to get a sequel pf the movie out, and it was only in 2015, that Jurassic World was released, and to a positive reception by critics and fans. In fact, it was so well received it begot another: Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. The sequel, however, was not loved as much as Jurrasic World but went on to be enormously commercially successful as it made a head-spinning $1.3 billion worldwide – and fans were guaranteed with yet another sequel!

About the cast – Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are definitely returning as the dinosaur trainer, Owen Grady, and former park manager Claire Geary, respectively. Isabella Sermon has also been announced to return as their newly adopted daughter Maisie Lockwood, the genetically-created offspring of John Hammond’s former partner Sir Benjamin Lockwood (James Cromwell). And to complete this trilogy, morally dubious geneticist Dr. Henry Wu (BD Wong) might finally get his comeuppance. Though he wasn’t in the sequel, Jake Johnson could reprise his much-loved Jurassic World role as Lowery in the threequel. Most excitingly for long-time fans of this franchise, Jurassic Earth: Dominion will see the return of these three initial stars. Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum all looked in Spielberg’s Jurassic Park and certainly will be back to the new film as Dr. Alan Grant, Dr. Ellie Sattler, and Dr. Ian Malcolm respectively. While Dern and Neill equally returned to the Jurassic Park III of 2001 Goldblum starred in the 1997 movie The Lost World and looked in the Fallen Kingdom. This is going to be the first time three celebrities have appeared since that film. Also, several developments to the World Series have been declared and thus, the new cast will comprise Mamoudou Athie from “The Get Away “, DeWanda Wise from “She’s GotId Have It”, Dichen Lachman from “Representatives of S.H.I.E.L.D., Altered Carbon”, and Scott Haze from “Venom”. We do not know a lot about their personalities nevertheless, though Deadline did report Wise has a “leading role”.

Now about the plot of Jurassic World 3. Though particular details are revealed in the story of Dominion, there are only a few things that we do understand:

Trevorrow has said that the movie will concentrate on dinosaurs being spread and marketed around the Earth, rather than stored within a place like the movies. It had been determined to maintain them, although some scenes were considered for the Fallen Kingdom. “There were moments we believed, this is similar to a Jurassic [world] 3 spectacle so that we took them from the script,” Fallen Kingdom manager J.A. Bayona stated. “A few of the scenes we believed were seen at a universe where dinosaurs had spread all around the globe.”, was further added. Moreover, regarding the personalities, Trevorrow has said the film will concentrate on Owen and Claire caring for Maisie, the granddaughter of Jurassic Park founder John Hammond. Maisie is a clone, so we all understand Dominion is improbable the defeat that spins for ridiculousness.  Trevorrow further stated that placing of Dominion is going to be a planet where “a dinosaur might come to an end before your car on a foggy backroad, or invade your adolescent searching for food. A world where Paper interaction is improbable but possible–the same way we watch out for sharks or bears.” Excited?

The movie is scheduled to hit the theatres on the 11th of June, 2021 but we assume that it might be delayed due to the Corona-virus pandemic.
